Yes, yet another inevitable year has gone by. It's time to reflect and look back at what was and what is.
This year came with its share of disappointments and joy. It was a year of several dawns. Self awareness and pure survival instinct were part of the thin air surrounding me. Daggers and slivers of freedom and pain were raining upon me for days on end.
Discoveries were abundant. Resentments were finally let go. New point of views came with new friends. The old feeling of self pity was shed with tears.
I come out of it more grateful, more understanding but not complete. Still stuck chasing the wind but there is no turning back.
Reality is no longer black & white. Sarcasm no longer the answer. Friendships still are utterly important life lines.
I am still a simple cog in the wheels of the immense time. Grateful for being able to translate the untranslatable. Full of denial and acceptance.
In retrospect, it was a good year.
